Purchasers of used cars evaluate their options based on the models, years and condition of the vehicle choices available to them. Comparing two or more vehicles that differ in model, make year and condition is challenging without a structured method to organize the data.

Quality issues in a car purchase include: age and mileage of the vehicle, exterior condition including paint, body dents, glass and tires, interior condition, quietness of ride and mechanical checks.
