Home healthcare involves the delivery of healthcare services in patients’ homes. Nurses, nurses assistants and others visit patients and assess the patient’s condition, administer medicine, help patients with bathing and other tasks.
Quality issues in home healthcare include: verifying that services were delivered, assessing the patient environment especially for fall prevention, determining patient understanding of and compliance with medications, and pressure and wound management.
To measure these items, Good Samaritan HHC uses QMforms to log the start and end of the patient visit, photograph key living areas in the home, complete a visit report with OBQM metrics and video record an interview with the patient.
